Book Series by Stephen Franks

I am a lifelong educator with 30 years of experience shaping young minds, and my greatest joy has always been watching young learners discover the world around them, inspired by their boundless curiosity, I have dedicated my career to turning everyday moments into powerful learning experiences—especially when it comes to nurturing stewardship for our planet and the security of our children. For decades I taught computer studies in classrooms that echoed with questions, experiments, and laughter. Over time, I realized that the most lasting lessons are those that connect academic concepts to real‑life actions. That realization sparked a passion for writing engaging, age‑appropriate resources that help students from kindergarten through high school understand recycling, conservation, and sustainable living. Not forgetting my current focus on computer security, I also saw a need to teach that subject early to young learners. Today, I call the rugged Atlantic coastline of Nova Scotia my home. The ever‑changing tides, whispering winds, and salty air serve as constant reminders of nature’s delicate balance—and why protecting it matters for future generations. From my seaside home, I craft stories, activities, and lesson plans that bring the wonders of the ocean, forests, and local ecosystems into classrooms across Canada and beyond. My hope is simple: to empower every child with knowledge, confidence, and a love for the environment so they can become confident “eco‑heroes” in their own communities, and to have them interact with the online world to learn and grow safely.  Thank you for joining me on this journey toward a greener, safer, future.
